Travel Awards Recipients

The following students were selected as recipients of
S3T 2009 travel awards:

We are happy to announce that ten travel awards will be provided to support talented young researchers/ PhD students that face financial difficulties in attending the S3T conference. The travel awards are sponsored by the FP7 SISTER Project. Each grant will cover a conference fee and accommodation (3 nights). The grants will be awarded taking into account financial needs and academic merit.

Eligibility:

• The applicants should be PhD students or should have received their PhD degree in the last five years.
• 'The applicants should be first authors of papers accepted for presentation at the conference.

Application procedure:

To apply for the award please send the following documents to s3t@fmi.uni-sofia.bg no later than September 1, 2009:

• a short description of your research work and the title of your accepted paper;
• a CV;
• for the PhD students: a letter of support from your supervisor confirming the status of the PhD and the expected graduation date.

Notifications about the award distribution will be sent by
September 3, 2009.
